Twitter: Small Bites of Big Community

May 19, 2009

*6:30 ~ 8:30

*(see event schedule below)

Twitter...you've heard the buzz, but what is it?  At its core, Twitter is an informal communications channel and, when used effectively, a very powerful business and marketing tool.  An analogy often used, is to think of LinkedIn as a formal business meeting, Facebook as the follow-up conversations in the hallway, and Twitter as the friendly chat at the bar afterwards  It doesn't mean work doesn't get done there, the dialogue just tends to be more relaxed.

Guest panel Twopics of discussion will include:

Twitter for business

Twitter tools

Twitter tips -

Twitter measurement/tracking

Learning from Local tweeps - most followers, most tweets, most retweets, early adopters

White board crowdsourcing - Why follow? Why unfollow? Twettiquette

Celibritweets - who are the most followed, what does it mean for Twitter

Event Schedule:

Tuesday ~ May 19, 2009

6:30 ~ 7:00 Networking

7:00 ~ 8:00 Panel Discussion

8:00 ~ 8:30 Questions/follow-up networking
